Happy New Year loves! I hope you all had a fun celebration with family and friends and 2015 treats you well! With a new year, I decided to update my bedroom décor and transition from a teen to a more mature adult space. I am obsessed with light grey, black, white and silver. Using these colours, my goal was to create a modern yet vintage, chic, glamorous space that was still soft and comforting. I am so happy with the end result and thought I’d share it with you guys, to give you some bedroom inspiration.
The majority of furniture in my room is white and modern, however I used this antique desk to break up the space. The wood brings more warmth to an otherwise cold space. I paired this beautiful chair with a diamond white and grey pattern from Target that embodies a vintage flare.
Originally this dresser was wood with a light stain, so I sanded it down and painted it a crisp white and picked up crystal knobs to give it a more glamorous look. I LOVE how it came out and how it contrasts with the dark wood floors.
This shelf was also wood which I painted white and added these iron brackets to keep with the vintage theme. By layering paintings and a mirror adds dimension and is more interesting to the eye.
My talented dad made this beautiful shiny black headboard with black leather panels! I paired it with this black and white bed spread from Home Sense and DKNY knitted blanket.
I used the same crystal knobs on my closet that I used on my dresser to tie everything together!
Lastly I recreated this Prada painting that I have seen in Gossip Girl episodes. You can check out how to DIY in my recent blog post my clicking here
