Hot Or Not Monday: Tatcha Luminous Dewy Skin Mist

Today’s hot or not Monday is dedicated to Tatcha’s Luminous Dewy Skin Mist. This product is a makeup setting spray that you can use either before or after makeup application. I first purchased this product after hearing how Makeup by Mario uses it on Kim Kardashian to achieve that luminous, dewy glow she is notorious for.

My skin is on the dryer side and this mist adds the perfect amount of dew without looking too oily. I prefer to use this product after I’m finished my makeup, for it melts perfectly into my skin, transforming all powders to a more natural, skin like finish. That being said, if you have oily or combination skin, I don’t know that this product would be as successful on you. I have a friend with extremely oily skin and this mist made her face greasy.

The smell of this product is very earthy and reminds me of a spa. It instantly refreshes my skin and is ideal for travelling when your skin drys out from flying.

Additionally, I am a sucker for luxurious packaging, and Tatcha defiantly does not disappoint in this category. The product itself comes in a durable glass bottle, with a fine gold mist tip that disperses the perfect amount of liquid each time. I love the purple and gold colour combination, for it gives the bottle a fresh and chic look. This product retails for $58.00 Canadian on the Sephora website and contains 1.35 oz of product.

Overall, I do believe this product is worth the money IF you are a lover of face sprays. However, if it is your first time using a setting spray, I would suggest trying a less expensive brand such as MAC or Urban Decay before you go and splurge on this one. Also, if you are a major fan of the whole strobing trend,  I apply this mist right before I apply  highlighter to the tops of my cheeks. It makes your highlight extremely intense and transforms your face into a glowing masterpiece. As far as I am concerned, this Tatcha Luminous Skin Mist is a must have for summer.
