It leaves my hair silky smooth and smells amazing! Redken Diamond Oil Glow Dry Hair oil goals! It controls frizz, and makes my hair so shiny and healthy. A must in my books! Drybar Triple Sec 3-in-1 I love using this after I’ve curled my hair. It adds texture and lift to my curls, a must try for anyone with flat or thin hair! Ouai Matte Pomade I’m in love with …

Hot Or Not Monday: Tatcha Luminous Dewy Skin Mist

Today’s hot or not Monday is dedicated to Tatcha’s Luminous Dewy Skin Mist. This product is a makeup setting spray that you can use either before or after makeup application. I first purchased this product after hearing how Makeup by Mario uses it on Kim Kardashian to achieve that luminous, dewy glow she is notorious for. My skin is on the dryer side and this mist adds the perfect amount of dew without looking too oily. I prefer to use this product after I’m finished my makeup, for it melts perfectly into my skin, transforming all powders to a more natural, skin like finish. That being said, if you have oily or combination skin, I don’t know that this product would be as successful on you. I have a friend with extremely oily skin and this mist made her face greasy. The smell of this product is very earthy and reminds me of a spa. It instantly refreshes my skin and is ideal for travelling when your skin drys out from flying. Additionally, I am …

Hot Or Not Monday

Today I will be sharing my review on the YSL Touche Eclat Blur Primer & Perfector. I have been an avid user of this for over 5 months now and have distinguished both pros and cons of this iconic product. To begin, if you follow any beauty account on Pinterest or Instagram, chances are you have seen this beautiful compact displayed next to some lipstick and a cup of coffee by blogger, after blogger. This baby doll pink with shiny gold trim packaging IS EVERYTHING, but I was curious to see if the product inside this luxurious looking compact gave me the same impression. You can use this one of two ways: either as a primer before makeup application, or over makeup to help reduce oiliness throughout the day. The compact contains 9.5 grams of product and retails for $55.00 Canadian on the Sephora website . Personally, I did not like this product as a primer because it felt very waxy on my skin and broke up my foundation by the end of the day. However, …

Jaclyn Hill Champagne Collection Face Palette: Review And Swatches

If you’re not familiar with the beautifully talented makeup goddess Jacyln Hill, where have you been hiding?! Seriously, this woman is the perfect example of how hard work pays off. Like many, I have watched her YouTube career sky rocket from when she first started filming YouTube videos in her kitchen, to where she is now. Her bubbly personality and genuine makeup tips, tricks and product reviews, is what attracts her “Hillsters” (as she calls us) to her channel linked here. BECCA Cosmetics has once again teamed up with Jaclyn to produce the Champagne Collection, and today I will be sharing my review on the Face Palette from this line. To begin the white and gold packaging is TO DIE FOR! It’s durable and luxurious, which to me, just screams Jaclyn and I love it! Inside, the palette has a generous sized mirror which I love for on the go. It includes 3 blushes and 2 highlighters. The top row showcases 3 rich coloured blushes. From left to right we have “Rose Spritz”, “Amaretto” and “Pamplemousse”. …

Generation Beauty: Toronto 2016 Goodie Bag

This past weekend I attended Generation Beauty at the Metro Convention Centre in downtown Toronto. For those of you unfamiliar with Gen Beauty, it is a massive makeup convention hosted my ipsy that brings together top beauty brands and Youtube makeup gurus. There is no hiding my obsession for both makeup and the many beauty gurus I follow on social media. I had the honour of meeting the QUEEN of the tube, Mrs. Desi Perkins herself. She is such a genuine and talented woman and one of my biggest inspirations. I have watched her videos for many years now, and it is still extremely surreal that I had the privilege of meeting her (I fan girled pretty hard to say the least)! When you attend Generation Beauty, you receive not only two awesome goodie bags full of product, but also a free product at every booth. Below I share every goodie I received while attending Generation Beauty. I hope you enjoy and discover something new! Xo Britt

Beauty Products Worth The Hype

Like many, I am guilty when it comes to buying into beauty products that either my friends or favourite beauty gurus rant about. If everyone is raving over a product, I want to be included in this hype and see if it lives up to my standards. I’ve tried so many different beauty products within the last year, the good and the bad. As a result, I have done the work for you and come up with a list of products that are not only worth the investment, but also worth the hype. Becca Shimmering Skin Perfector If I had to live the rest of my life with only one item of makeup, I would choose a highlighter in a heartbeat. I’m a sucker for radiant, bronzed skin and my all time favourite makeup look will always be that J. Lo glow and nude lip. Generally speaking, I believe every girl should have this as a staple in her makeup bag because it gives the skin a natural, healthy glow. A highlighter that has received …

Everything You Need To Know About Eyelash Extensions

Last week I made the executive decision to book an eyelash extension appointment. I absolutely can’t stand wearing mascara, especially in the winter months since my eyes water uncontrollably from the cold. Not to mention, I also hate taking it off at the end of the day because makeup remover has always irritated my eyes. I researched a solution and decided eyelash extensions was the answer to my problem.    So lets dive right into the most asked questions I have gotten since the application. How long did it take?  I got a full set and it took a little over 2 hours. Are they painful? Absolutely not. In fact, the salon I went to played relaxing music and I practically fell asleep! Do your research and go to a certified eyelash technician that knows what they’re doing and you will not feel a thing! Can you feel them on your eyes? Yes and no. I tend to rub my eyes a lot, but I obviously can’t do that with them on. It has taking …
